We have all dreamed about the most special day of our lives since we were young. So I always make sure that the morning of your wedding is peaceful and full of love. You should expect to receive a calm, relaxing experience with confidence that you will receive your dream Wedding Makeup.
My goal is to make you feel beautiful, whatever style of makeup that may be.
Bridal Makeup Trial
Bridal trials usually take up to 2 hours from start to finish. I like to allow this much time so that the bride and myself can get to know each other and gain a clear understanding of what the style of makeup she's dreamt of having. I always ask the bride to bring some inspiration images of different makeup looks along to the trial, as these will really help.
Once I have an idea of the style she is after, we go ahead and being the process, starting with skincare. Each bride gets a customized skincare treatment and this will differ to suit their skin type. I apply the makeup step-by-step allowing the bride to look as we go. This is a very calm and informative few hours together and I really like my brides to feel comfortable. Once the makeup has been applied and both the bride and myself are happy with the outcome, we then go through all the information about the big day. I love the bride to feel as though she has a bridal 'team' so I often get in contact with hair stylists and photographers to introduce myself. This will also allow us all to be able to work around each other easier the morning of the wedding. At the end of the trial, I take some photos of the makeup which are only seen by myself so that I have a reference on the day. I also write down every single product, in the order that it has been used so we can achieve the exact same look on the day.
About my Bridal Makeup Service
Morning of the Wedding
On the morning of the wedding, I usual arrive 4-6 hours before the bride walks down the isle. This is something that we finalize either during the trial, or by email or phone prior to the date. I find an area, usually where there's natural sunlight coming in, and set up my kit ready for the first person in the chair. Traditionally, a bridesmaid or mother of the bride will be the first in to have their makeup done, but the order is up to the bride.
Bridesmaids 'looks' will be decided during the trial, but if the Bride would like her team to choose their own style of makeup, then I will chat to each individual about their preference. As myself and the hair stylist/ photographer would have already introduced ourselves, we will be able to navigate around each other easier and ensure everything is on time.
When the bride sits down to have her makeup done, I have my photographs and product list in front of me so that we can re-create the makeup she had during her trial. Any adjustments to the makeup can be made at my brides discretion. Sometimes the morning of the wedding can be a bit nerve wracking for a bride to be, so I keep the conversation light hearted and make sure she feels comfortable.
After the makeup is all done, I stay around until I am no longer needed. I am happy to be an extra pair of hands if there is any last minute bits that need to be done. After the bride is ready and not far away from walking down the aisle, I make sure all my kit is packed up and I let my bride enjoy her special day.
You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams
